Sherry Dixon

Sherry Dixon serves as Director at the Women's Chamber of Commerce and Industry Guyana (WCCIG), a non-profit organization established in 2019 to empower women in business and promote gender equality. As an award-winning Guyanese journalist and lecturer, she has contributed to major publications including The Guardian, Sunday Observer, The Times, Guyana Chronicle, and Stabroek News. Her media career spans television and radio, where she has tackled challenging social issues affecting women and communities, including rape, sexism, incest, and domestic violence. Through her roles as Country Committee Chairperson for Motivation at ALL Ladies League and Director at WCCIG, she continues to advocate for women's empowerment while helping provide platforms for networking, mentorship, and professional development among women entrepreneurs.
