Georgetown UniversityShenita Ray serves as Senior Associate Dean of Online Programs at Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies, where she also directs Online Programs and Strategy for the Center for New Designs in Learning & Scholarship (CNDLS). After earning her BS in Finance and Information Technology and MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from Marquette University, followed by a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she built a diverse career spanning corporate and academic leadership. Before Georgetown, she held positions as Director for Distance and Continuing Education at Virginia Union University and Associate Director of the Distance Learning Center at the University of Wisconsin. Her corporate experience includes working as a BlackBelt and Information Technology leader in General Electric's Information Management Leadership Program. At Georgetown, she has developed innovative pedagogical frameworks incorporating Jesuit values into virtual learning experiences, while leading cross-functional teams in designing and implementing online programs. Her expertise combines technical knowledge with educational leadership to advance online learning strategies and academic excellence.
