Delft University of TechnologyDr. Seyedmahdi Izadkhast currently serves as an Assistant Professor at TU Delft's faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science (EEMCS), where he has evolved from his initial role as a postdoctoral research fellow in DC Systems, Energy Conversion and Storage. Born in Tehran, Iran in 1986, he completed his unique triple PhD degree program (SETS doctorate) from Delft University of Technology, Comillas Pontifical University, and KTH Royal Institute of Technology. His research expertise spans power systems, power electronics, and battery storage, with significant contributions to electric vehicle integration and frequency control in power systems. As a principal electrical engineering educator, he leads several courses including "AC & DC Microgrids" and "Systems Engineering," while also contributing to the Solar Energy Engineering MicroMasters program. His involvement in international research projects like GRID4EU, NICE GRID, CSGriP, and DCSMART ERA-Net SG+ has strengthened his expertise in microgrid technology and power system integration, while his publications have garnered over 445 citations, demonstrating his significant impact on the field of electrical engineering and power systems.
