Sean McMinn

Dr. Sean McMinn is the Director of the Center for Educational Innovation at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). With nearly 20 years of experience in higher education, he has held various teaching and leadership roles, including serving as the former Director of the English Language Centre at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Dr. McMinn specializes in a range of subjects, including Business Communications, English for Academic Purposes (EAP), and Digital Literacies, with a keen interest in educational technology and networked learning. His innovative contributions to education were recognized when he won a Teaching Innovation Award for his work with podcasts at HKUST in 2007.In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. McMinn has published extensively and presented at international conferences on topics such as MOOCs, social media in education, and digital literacies. His commitment to enhancing educational practices is evident through his involvement in various initiatives aimed at integrating technology into learning environments.
