UC Berkeley College of EngineeringScott Moura is the Clare & Hsieh Wen Shen Distinguished Professor and an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. His research specializes in the modeling, estimation, and control of energy systems. In January 2022, he took on the role of Faculty Director for the California Program for Advanced Transportation Technology (PATH) at Berkeley and also directs the eCAL lab, where he mentors students and postdoctoral scholars. Moura has received several prestigious awards, including the ITS Faculty of the Year Award in 2020, the ASME Division Outstanding Young Investigator Award, and the NSF CAREER Award. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and has previously completed a postdoctoral fellowship at UC San Diego. Additionally, he is actively involved in editorial duties for professional journals and serves as a reviewer for funding agencies like the National Science Foundation.
