Delft University of TechnologyScott Cunningham serves as Associate Professor at TU Delft's Department of Policy Analysis, bringing extensive experience in technology assessment and policy analysis since joining the faculty in 2004. His academic credentials include degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology and the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU) at the University of Sussex. Before academia, he worked in the computer and software industry, earning six national and international patents for knowledge discovery work. His research spans operations research, decision sciences, and probabilistic models of social exchange, with significant contributions to national innovation indicators for the U.S., U.K., and Malaysian governments. He teaches Data Science in the Engineering and Policy Analysis M.Sc. program and courses on text mining, actor and strategy models, and network analysis. As a member of the BYTE Project, he leads foresight activities investigating social, economic, and legal implications of Big Data. His publications include influential works like "Tech Mining" and "Forecasting and Management of Technology," while serving as associate editor for Technological Forecasting and Social Change.
