Sarah Underwood

Professor Sarah Underwood is the Director of Executive and Professional Education at Leeds University Business School and leads the Centre for Enterprise & Entrepreneurship Studies. A key academic for the 10,000 Women initiative and former Program Director for 10,000 Small Businesses UK, she has significantly contributed to establishing enterprise as a discipline at the university, launching numerous elective modules. Recognized with a National Teaching Fellowship in 2017 for her innovative work, her efforts also earned the university the Duke of York Award for University Entrepreneurship and the Times Higher Education Entrepreneurial University of the Year award in 2015/16. Additionally, she co-founded the Rainbow Factory, a children’s play center in Leeds.
