Santiago German Fretes Arguello

Santiago German Fretes Arguello is an Operations Specialist and Country Operations Coordinator for Paraguay at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). He holds a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from INCAE Business School in Costa Rica, a specialization in Development Project Management certified by the Universidad Nacional de Asunción and the Fundação Getulio Vargas, and a diploma in Public-Private Partnerships for Infrastructure Development from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in partnership with the IDB. Fretes Arguello has been a professor of Finance and International Marketing in master's programs in Paraguay. Currently, he is a candidate for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and is certified by the IDB as a Risk Management Advisor and Workshop Facilitator. He has extensive experience in programming and supervising sovereign-guaranteed operations, managing development projects, and working with multilateral credit organizations. He has also worked in the private sector leading communication and digital marketing consultancies and in the public sector integrating project executing units funded by multilaterals.
