Sanne van Herpen

Sanne van Herpen (MSc) has worked as an educational researcher and advisor at Risbo since 2007, with a primary focus on academic success in higher education. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD, investigating the transition from pre-university education to university. Through qualitative, quantitative, and experimental research methods, Sanne studies how students prepare for and cope with this transition and the impact it has on their performance during the first year of university. As an advisor, she uses her research findings to support managers and teachers in the (re)development of education and student supervision. She also occasionally teaches research methods. Sanne van Herpen holds a degree in Pedagogical and Educational Sciences from Radboud University Nijmegen, where she completed a dissertation in 2007 on the professional requirements of university teachers.
