Boston UniversitySandra Deacon Carr is a distinguished Master Lecturer in the Department of Management and Organization at Boston University's Questrom School of Business, where she has dedicated three decades to teaching courses in organizational behavior, leadership, management, career development, and team learning. She currently serves as the faculty athletics representative (FAR) for Boston University, a role she assumed at the start of the 2021-22 school year, and is the faculty director of the BU Cross-College Challenge (XCC). Her academic journey includes a bachelor's degree from Amherst College, where she was a student-athlete, a master's degree in education from Boston University, and a Ph.D. from Northeastern University, leading to her licensure as a psychologist in Massachusetts. Throughout her career, she has received multiple recognitions, including the Broderick Prize for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning and Experience in 2014, the Broderick Award for Outstanding Faculty Contribution to the Undergraduate Community and Program in 2017, and the James E. Freeman Leadership Development Award in 2019. She actively contributes to the university's initiatives as a member of the Questrom Committee for Diversity Equity and Inclusion and chairs the Task Force for Inclusive Teams, while also overseeing the development and implementation of the XCC program.
