Delft University of TechnologySandra de Vries serves as founder of PULSAQUA and guest researcher at TU Delft's Water Management Department, where she combines her expertise in water management with citizen science methodologies. After graduating as a Water Management engineer from TU Delft, she developed her career through international research projects in Kenya, Indonesia, and Nicaragua. Her work spans roles including IHP-HWRP Committee Secretary at UNESCO-IHE and project developer for the Valorisation Program Deltatechnology and Water. Through PULSAQUA, established in 2019, she leads initiatives in water-related citizen science projects, helping organizations develop monitoring strategies and environmental impact assessments. Her recent work includes "The Delft Measures Recipe" and projects like "Heel Wielwijk Meet – LIFE Critical" in Dordrecht, focusing on climate adaptation measures. She contributes to TU Delft's WaterLab platform and provides workshops and courses on citizen science implementation within open science principles.
