Sally Meek

Sally Meek serves as an AP Economics teacher at Plano Independent School District in Plano, Texas since 1987. Her contributions to economics education span teaching, leadership, and curriculum development. She has served multiple roles with the College Board since 1998, including AP Economics reader, Test Development Committee member, and Lead Consultant for AP Economics Summer Institutes across Texas. Her leadership extends to serving as President of the Global Association of Teachers of Economics and addressing the National Summit on Economic and Financial Literacy in 2005. Her achievements have earned her the Southwest College Board Advanced Placement Special Recognition Award and the GATE Distinguished Service Award. Beyond teaching, she co-founded the North Texas TINSTAAFL Society in 2004 and contributed to the National Council on Economic Education's Virtual Economics 3.0 Design Committee. Her academic background includes a BA in political science from the University of Texas at Dallas and an MEd in Secondary Education with emphasis on Economics from the University of North Texas
