Dr. Russell Elmayan is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Duke University, where he brings over 30 years of experience in church administration and leadership. A double graduate of Duke, he holds both a Master of Business Administration and a Doctor of Ministry degree. His extensive background includes serving as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Chancellor for the Catholic Diocese of Eastern North Carolina, where he has worked with nearly 100 parish churches and almost 30 parochial schools. Dr. Elmayan's expertise encompasses a wide range of administrative responsibilities, including finance, property management, legal services, and charitable outreach. He has also provided consultation to churches on effective administration practices. His commitment to integrating business acumen with theological principles is reflected in his teaching and course development, particularly in church administration programs that aim to equip clergy and church leaders with the necessary skills to manage their organizations effectively.
