Rupesh Nasre

Rupesh Nasre is a faculty member in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at IIT Madras, with a background that includes a BE from VRCE Nagpur, MTech from IIT Bombay, PhD from IISc Bangalore, and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on Compilers and Parallelization. Rupesh has earned several prestigious accolades, including the Excellence in Teaching Award at IIT Madras, the APJ Abdul Kalam Cray HPC Award, the NVIDIA Special Prize for CodeForScience, and the ICPC Coach Award. He also chaired the Curriculum Task Force 2024, which recommended the new BTech curriculum at IIT Madras. Rupesh has been granted nine patents, graduated eight PhD theses, authored two books, and serves as an associate editor for the CCPE journal. Additionally, he is the Coordinator of the NSM Nodal Center at IIT Madras for HPC and AI training.
