Rolf Strom-Olsen

Rolf Strom-Olsen is a Professor of Humanities at IE Business School in Madrid, where he has been teaching since 2009. He earned his BA from the University of Pennsylvania, his MA from McGill University, and his PhD from Northwestern University, all in History. A Fulbright scholar and SSRC fellow, he specializes in the study of ritual and state-building in Early Modern Europe, contributing significantly to the academic discourse with several published articles on these topics. At IE Business School, he has developed the Humanities curriculum for the MBA programs and teaches courses such as "Critical Management Thinking," which integrates humanities methodologies with management principles. Additionally, he offers a course titled "Critical Perspectives on Management" through the Coursera platform. Throughout his career, Professor Strom-Olsen has received multiple teaching awards, recognized by his students for his innovative teaching methods.
