Delft University of TechnologyRients Dijkstra serves as a Design Fellow of Urban Design at TU Delft's Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment while also being a partner at PosadMaxwan. After graduating from TU Delft in architecture and urban planning, he worked at the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) from 1991 to 1994 before founding Maxwan. His portfolio includes significant urban development projects such as the Utrecht suburb Leidsche Rijn, Rotterdam Central Station, the Antwerp ring road, and Barking Riverside London. From 2012 to 2016, he served as the Dutch Government Advisor on Infrastructure and the City, providing crucial guidance on urban development and mobility integration. His expertise spans urban design, infrastructure planning, and public space development, with particular focus on the relationship between mobility and urban development. As a Design Fellow at TU Delft since 2015, he continues to shape the future of urbanism education while contributing to the discourse on sustainable urban development and the evolution of cities in response to technological changes.
