Rick Wolff

Rick Wolff is a Senior Educational Advisor at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where he has been a Senior Researcher for Risbo since May 2009. He holds a PhD and an MA in Development Studies and has a robust background in political science, having previously worked as a researcher at the Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies (IMES) at the University of Amsterdam from 1994 to 2009. His research primarily focuses on academic success in higher education, exploring student characteristics and educational factors that contribute to disparities in academic achievement among different student groups. In November 2013, he obtained his PhD with a study examining social aid sources and learning environments as factors influencing the academic success of non-Western immigrant students in Dutch higher education from 1997 to 2010. Additionally, he has experience as a teacher and minor coordinator for the Public Administration program at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam from May 2014 to the end of 2015. Rick's work emphasizes improving educational outcomes and fostering inclusivity within academic settings.
