Richard White

Dr. Richard White is an Assistant Research Professor at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, specializing in cybersecurity and its applications across various infrastructures. He has an extensive background in cybersecurity infrastructure, remediation, and program development, with over 25 years of experience in systems design and security technology implementation. Dr. White holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Security from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and has previously served as Chief Information Security Officer for the United States Capitol Police.His research interests include classical cryptography, cybersecurity policies for critical infrastructures such as aviation and utilities, and the intersection of homeland security and cybersecurity. Dr. White has developed several online courses on Coursera, including "Mathematical Foundations for Cryptography" and "Cybersecurity Policy for Aviation and Internet Infrastructures," aimed at educating students on essential cybersecurity concepts and practices.
