Mindfulness and Educational Neuroscience Expert
Dr. Ricardo Tarrasch serves as a faculty member at both the School of Education and the School of Neuroscience at Tel Aviv University. With over 30 years of personal practice in meditation and yoga, he has successfully integrated mindfulness into academic research and teaching. His research focuses on the neurological, cognitive, and emotional effects of mindfulness training, particularly among children and adults with learning disabilities and attention disorders. He has developed a specialized mindfulness program for children and participates in implementing the Mind and Life Institute's Call to Care program in Israel. His work has demonstrated significant positive outcomes, including improved awareness and decreased hyperactivity and inattention in students with attention problems. His current research includes mapping brain regions related to linguistic processing, with a particular focus on different types of dyslexia, combining rigorous academic research with practical applications in educational settings.
