Rekha Raghunathan

Rekha Raghunathan serves as Lead of the Word Lab at the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS), where she plays a pivotal role in shaping the institution's editorial processes and knowledge dissemination strategies. Her expertise spans multiple areas of editorial work, including converting complex research into accessible data stories and op-eds for non-academic audiences, conducting substantive and copy-editing of IIHS publications, and implementing editorial processes across various teams. Her impact extends through her work on in-house publications, working papers, reports, and policy briefs. As an educator, she conducts writing workshops for both external and internal audiences and teaches writing skills in the Urban Fellows Programme. Her editorial expertise has contributed to the publication of articles in prestigious media outlets including The Hindu, Economic and Political Weekly (EPW), Scroll.in, The Wire, and IndiaSpend.
