Dr. Rebecca Cunningham is the Interim Vice President for Research at the University of Michigan and serves as the Director of the Firearm Safety Among Children & Teens Consortium (FACTS). With a robust background in emergency medicine and public health, Dr. Cunningham has dedicated her career to addressing injury and violence prevention. She holds faculty appointments in both the School of Medicine and the School of Public Health, where she focuses on research that informs policy and practice aimed at reducing firearm injuries among youth.Dr. Cunningham's extensive experience includes leading the CDC-funded University of Michigan Injury Prevention Center and contributing to various initiatives that promote safety among children and teens. Her research emphasizes the importance of evidence-based interventions and community engagement in preventing firearm-related injuries.
