Solar Energy Expert and Educational Innovator
Associated with :
Delft University of TechnologyRavi Vasudevan has established himself as a leading expert in photovoltaic technology and solar energy education at TU Delft. His doctoral research focused on silicon heterojunction solar cells, specifically examining interface defects and advanced engineering aspects that contributed to improving this world-record-holding technology. After completing both his MSc and PhD at TU Delft, he continued his research as a postdoctoral researcher in the Photovoltaic Materials and Devices Group. His work has produced significant findings on light-induced effects on the amorphous silicon/crystalline silicon heterointerface, advancing understanding of solar cell performance. Beyond research, he has made substantial contributions to solar energy education, helping develop the MSc course in PV Systems at TU Delft and managing the creation of the Solar Energy Engineering ProfEd series on the edX platform. His educational impact extends through his involvement in teaching various solar-based courses at both BSc and MSc levels, while also contributing to the development of comprehensive online learning materials for the Solar Energy Engineering MicroMasters Program
