Raphael Roettgen

Raphael Roettgen is the founder of E2MC Ventures, a space-focused early-stage venture capital firm, and co-founder of Prometheus Life Technologies. He combines expertise in finance and space technology, holding degrees from Wharton (finance), PUC-Rio (machine learning), and the International Space University (space studies). Currently pursuing doctoral research on space financing at the University of Luxembourg, he lectures on space entrepreneurship at various institutions while hosting the Space Business Podcast. His book "Hoch Hinaus" provides an introduction to the space economy and has been published in multiple languages. His career spans senior roles at global investment banks and hedge funds, along with experience as a fintech entrepreneur in Brazil. Through E2MC Ventures, he focuses on early-stage space technology investments, particularly in seed and pre-seed funding stages, while actively promoting space entrepreneurship through education and media engagement. As a CFA charterholder, he brings rigorous financial analysis to the emerging space economy sector.
