Ramin Soleymani-Fard holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Hannover (2010) and currently serves as a software engineer for the LICCI project at the Institut de Ciència i Tecnologia Ambientals (ICTA) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. His professional background includes developing planning strategies for wireless sensor networks, working as a Creative Technologist, and engaging in freelance software development and education. Ramin has been actively involved in community organizing, notably within a digital art community in Berlin and Barcelona, and co-initiated the Science Hack Day Berlin—a hackathon focused on citizen science and DIY science initiatives. In his role with the LICCI project, he is responsible for developing the citizen science platform that facilitates community engagement in climate change research. Ramin also teaches the course Climate Change and Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities, contributing to discussions on the integration of technology and local knowledge in addressing environmental challenges.
