Professor Shlomo Maital is a prominent academic figure at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where he serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the S. Neaman Institute. He is also the Academic Director of the TIM-Technion Institute of Management, recognized as Israel's leading institute for executive leadership development and a pioneer in action-learning methodologies. With a distinguished career that includes two decades as a summer visiting professor at MIT Sloan School of Management, Maital has educated over 1,000 R&D engineers from 40 countries. He is the author, co-author, or editor of eight influential books, including "Innovation Management" and "Executive Economics," the latter of which has been translated into seven languages. A co-founder of the Society for Advancement of Behavioral Economics (SABE), he has published more than 80 scholarly articles in peer-reviewed journals and contributes regularly to major publications like Barron's and The Marker. His extensive experience includes serving as the Director of the National & Economic Planning Authority in Israel's Economics Ministry, where he applied his expertise to national policy. Currently, his research focuses on profit-driven innovation, exploring how to blend creativity with discipline to achieve success in the marketplace.
