He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Prior to joining JGU in 2017, Dr. Jha taught economics at various esteemed government colleges in West Bengal under the West Bengal Education Service (WBES) and served as the Assistant Director of Public Instruction for the Government of West Bengal. His primary research interests include empirical growth and development economics.
