David Schultz is a Professor of Synoptic Meteorology in the School of Earth, Atmospheric and Environmental Sciences at the University of Manchester. With extensive experience teaching at seven institutions across three countries, he has imparted knowledge to weather forecasters in the U.S., Europe, and China. At Manchester, he currently leads courses in meteorology, introductory Earth science, and communication skills. His teaching excellence has been recognized with several awards, including the student-led Manchester Teaching Award for Best Teacher in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences in 2012, the Most Innovative Use of eLearning award in 2013, and the Teaching Excellence Award in 2014.
