Peter Baumgartner is the Operational Excellence Director at the University at Buffalo's The Center for Industrial Effectiveness (TCIE), where he specializes in Lean Six Sigma methodologies. As a Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, he has successfully led numerous process improvement projects across various industries, including manufacturing, finance, and healthcare. With nearly a decade of experience in a global company, he has delivered significant cost savings and enhanced operational performance through his expertise in data analysis and statistical methods.Baumgartner holds a Master of Science in Applied Statistics from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He teaches courses on Coursera such as "Data Analysis and Visualization" and "Data-Driven Process Improvement," aimed at equipping professionals with the skills necessary to implement effective data-driven strategies in their organizations.
