Pertti Hakonen

Pertti Hakonen is a Professor of Physics in the Department of Applied Physics at Aalto University, Finland, where he leads research in superconducting quantum technology. His work focuses on developing advanced quantum circuits using both traditional Josephson junctions and hybrid devices based on two-dimensional materials. His research group has made significant strides in creating efficient entanglement generators for microwave frequencies, nearly quantum-limited parametric amplifiers, and high-resolution force sensors for detecting emergent quasiparticles in topological systems.
