As a filmmaker, writer, and visual artist, he has earned over forty honors, including two Berlinale awards, an Emmy nomination, and the National Geographic Prize, with his work featured at prestigious venues like Sundance, MoMA, Whitney Biennial, and Lincoln Center. His professional career includes leadership roles as International Relations Director at New York Film Academy, Program Director at Televisa, and Director of the Cancun Riviera Maya International Film Festival, alongside collaborations with NBC, Vivendi Universal, and the Rockefeller Foundation. As a Fulbright scholar with a PhD in Audiovisual Communication and studies at Columbia University, he has contributed to major broadcasting networks including PBS, BBC, TVE, and Canal+, while developing projects across seventeen countries. His work combines academic excellence with creative innovation, making him a distinguished figure in both educational and professional media production spheres.
