Dr. Patrick Appiah-Kubi serves as Portfolio Director and Associate Professor of Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity & Networking at the University of Maryland Global Campus, where he brings extensive expertise in cloud computing and risk management. As an IEEE Senior Member, he leads initiatives in cloud adoption strategies and cybersecurity education, teaching students to understand prevention and migration strategies including Zero trust policy, network segregation, and infrastructure management techniques. His research focuses on cloud computing trends, risk management frameworks, and cybersecurity, with recent work examining how organizations can effectively manage risks during cloud migration. He currently directs the Cloud Computing MicroMasters program, where he teaches courses on cloud foundations, deployment strategies, and security protocols.
