Patricia D. Franklin, PhD, RN

Patricia D. Franklin has established herself as a distinguished leader in nursing education and professional development at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Her career spans primary care practice, program management, and academia, with particular expertise in interprofessional education and grant management. As Director of the Office of Professional Education, she has led significant initiatives including chairing an interprofessional CE consortium involving multiple professional schools and organizing the annual Interprofessional Forum on Ethics and Religion in Health Care. Her grant management expertise is demonstrated through her successful oversight of a John A. Hartford Foundation grant that grew from $2 million to $26 million over a decade.
