Director of Research and Teacher Training Programs at the National Circus School
Mr. Patrice Aubertin serves as the Director of Research and Teacher Training Programs at the National Circus School (NCS) in Montréal, Canada, and holds the position of Industrial Research Chair for Colleges in Circus Arts with the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. His research interests focus on the social and physical impacts of circus arts practice on youth, circus arts pedagogy, as well as creative research, dramaturgy, and creativity. Prior to his tenure at NCS, Mr. Aubertin spent a decade at Cirque du Soleil, where he worked as an acrobatic coach, senior coordinator for artists’ training, and Director of Research and Development for new creation projects.
