P. Brighten Godfrey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in May 2009, and holds a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University, obtained in 2002. His research focuses on the design of networked systems and algorithms, with significant contributions to cloud computing and networking.Dr. Godfrey has received numerous accolades for his work, including the Sloan Research Fellowship in 2014 and the National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 2012.
