His academic credentials include an A.B. summa cum laude from Harvard University, a D.Phil. in Islamic Studies from Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, and a J.D. from Yale Law School. His career includes prestigious clerkships with Supreme Court Justice David Souter and Chief Judge Harry T. Edwards of the D.C. Circuit.
