After completing her medical education at Stanford and fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care, she earned her Master's in Medical Education from the University of Cincinnati, focusing on clinical decision support systems. As one of the nation's first board-certified clinical informaticists, she has pioneered the development of innovative digital health solutions and clinical decision support tools that enhance patient safety and care quality. Her leadership extends to academic medicine, where she co-founded and directs Stanford's Clinical Informatics Fellowship program, one of the first ACGME-accredited fellowships in the nation.
