Nader Perroud is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Geneva, within the Department of Psychiatry. He also holds an Assistant Professor position at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, and serves as an attending physician responsible for a unit at the University Hospitals of Geneva. His clinical interests focus on managing patients with emotional regulation difficulties, particularly those suffering from borderline personality disorder and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). His research is directed towards understanding these conditions and the mechanisms involved in emotion regulation. Recently, he has worked on identifying psychotherapeutic factors that enhance emotional regulation. Prof. Perroud has contributed to implementing specific psychotherapeutic approaches for borderline personality disorder in the Francophone world, including dialectical behavior therapy and mentalization-based therapies. He teaches courses such as "A Life with ADHD" and "Mentalizing: From Theory to Clinical Intervention."
