Mustesin Ali Khan

Dr. Mustesin Ali Khan is a distinguished Research Assistant Professor at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University's Department of Building Services Engineering, where he has been contributing to fire safety engineering research since November 2019. His academic journey includes a BTech in Civil Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University, an MTech in Structural Engineering from IIT Roorkee, and a PhD from Brunel University London's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering completed in 2019. His expertise centers on advancing fire safety engineering, particularly focusing on computational modeling, hybrid simulation techniques, and the assessment of risk and resilience in civil infrastructure under fire conditions. Through his research, he contributes significantly to understanding how buildings and structures respond to fire-related challenges, developing innovative approaches to enhance infrastructure safety and resilience. His work bridges the gap between theoretical fire safety engineering and practical applications in building design and protection.
