Ms Yuk-ling CHOI

Ms Yuk-ling Choi is an Instructor at the Chinese Language Centre of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, specializing in Classical Chinese Literature and Chinese language education. Her teaching portfolio encompasses Chinese Language & Communication Requirement (LCR) courses and Chinese Discipline-Specific Requirement (DSR) courses across multiple faculties including Business, Construction and Environment, and Health and Social Sciences. She has made significant contributions to Cantonese language education through developing online learning materials, designing activities, and recording audio for online Cantonese learning platforms. As a member of the LEG project, she works on testing and correcting Cantonese "Lazy" pronunciation through website development. Choi has designed and taught specialized courses combining Cantonese language with Hong Kong culture, and serves as an examiner for Cantonese Pronunciation Tests. Her expertise in Chinese essay writing is demonstrated through workshops she conducts, including a notable online seminar in April 2020 focusing on efficient and effective Chinese essay writing techniques.
