Louisiana State UniversityMostafa Elseifi is the Occidental Chemical Corporation Distinguished Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Louisiana State University (LSU). He earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, and his B.S. from Cairo University. Since joining LSU in 2007, Elseifi has advanced through various academic ranks, currently holding the position of Lloyd Guillory Distinguished Associate Professor. His research focuses on constitutive modeling and analysis of flexible pavement, laboratory characterization of hot-mix asphalt, tire-pavement interaction, and pavement instrumentation. Elseifi has received multiple accolades, including the Editor’s Choice Award from the ASCE Journal of Transportation Engineering in 2019 and the Michael R. Mangham Tiger Athletic Foundation Undergraduate Teaching Award in 2013. He is also involved in mentoring junior faculty and serves on the East Baton Rouge Parish Engineer and Surveyor Selection Board.
