Michał van Hooft

About Me

Michał van Hooft serves as Quantum Internet Alliance (QIA) Simulation Engineer at QuTech, TU Delft, bringing unique expertise through his double BSc in mathematics and physics and MSc in theoretical physics from Utrecht University. Before joining QuTech in 2023, he worked at Ibeo Eindhoven developing sensor simulations. His current work focuses on quantum network simulation tools, particularly SquidASM and NetSquid-snippets packages. He contributes to quantum education through teaching SquidASM workshops, where he introduces students to quantum network application development and simulation. His expertise spans quantum network protocols, simulation methodologies, and quantum application development, making him a key figure in advancing quantum internet technologies
