Michael Knab, the Director for the TOEFL family of English-language assessments at Educational Testing Service (ETS), brings over two decades of experience in test development and educational outreach to his role. Since joining ETS in 2002 and becoming part of the TOEFL team in 2007, Knab has been instrumental in developing resources for test takers, teachers, advisors, and institutions. He is widely recognized as the host of the "Inside the TOEFL Test" video series, providing valuable insights to test takers worldwide. Knab's background as a middle-school English teacher and his work on advanced teacher standards inform his approach to assessment development. Holding a Master of Arts in Teaching from Trinity Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts from Villanova University, Knab combines academic expertise with practical experience. His multifaceted role at ETS involves bridging the gap between test developers and test takers, ensuring the TOEFL remains a fair and effective measure of English language proficiency while providing comprehensive support for test preparation.
