Distinguished Dental Researcher and Prosthodontics Education Leader
Professor Michael Francis Burrow serves as Clinical Professor in Prosthodontics and Associate Dean at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Hong Kong, bringing extensive expertise in dental materials and education. His academic credentials include a BDS and MDS from Adelaide, MEd from Melbourne, PhD from Tokyo Medical and Dental University, and multiple fellowships including FICD and MRACDS in Prosthodontics. His research focuses on critical areas of dental science, including the physico-chemical nature of tooth substrates, dentine and enamel bond durability, and the development of adhesive restorative materials. His contributions to the field have been recognized through numerous awards, including the Best Paper Award in Dental Materials at the International Association for Dental Research. As a member of multiple professional societies including the IADR Cariology Group and Academy of Dental Materials, he continues to advance dental education and research while serving on the organizing committee of ConsAsia. His work spans both clinical practice and research, with particular emphasis on improving dental materials and techniques while training the next generation of dental professionals
