Michael 1 Wilkins

Michael Wilkins serves as Executive Director and Professor of Practice at the Centre for Climate Finance and Investment at Imperial College Business School, bringing over 30 years of expertise in sustainable finance. His distinguished career includes 28 years at S&P Global Ratings, where he served as Managing Director and Global Head of Sustainable Finance, leading the firm's research activities in this field. His academic credentials include a BA in Modern Languages from Bristol University, an Executive MBA from Cass Business School (now Bayes), and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Carbon Finance & Analytics from London Business School. He has made significant contributions to climate finance policy as a member of the Taskforce for Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) from 2016-2021 and continues to serve on the GARP Sustainability & Climate Risk Certification Advisory Committee. His expertise spans corporate and project finance credit analysis, carbon markets, structured finance, and environmental risk research.
