Software Engineering and Developer Education Innovator
Maurício Aniche combines academic excellence with industry expertise in his roles as Assistant Professor at TU Delft's Software Engineering group and Tech Lead at Adyen, where he leads the Tech Academy for engineer upskilling. His research portfolio focuses on helping developers maintain and evolve software systems, encompassing software maintenance and refactoring, testing, machine learning applications in software engineering, and software monitoring and log analysis. His significant impact in academia is evidenced by over 40 published papers in six years, placing him among the top 20 most productive early-career software engineering researchers, while his educational excellence has earned him the 2021 Teacher of the Year award for both the Computer Science department and EEMCS faculty at TU Delft. As a TU Delft Education Fellow since 2020, he has transformed software testing education for over 500 first-year CS students annually, while his work at Adyen allows him to directly implement and validate his research in industry settings, bridging the gap between academic theory and practical application in software engineering.
