Delft University of TechnologyDr. Maud Rio serves as an Associate Professor at Grenoble Alps University's G-SCOP Laboratory, where she leads groundbreaking research in sustainable product design and environmental engineering. As part of the CoSys (formerly Product Process Design) Team, she specializes in developing innovative models and methods for integrated design to enhance environmental and sustainability performance of products and processes. Her current research portfolio includes supervising five PhDs in collaboration with G2Elab, I2M, and LIG research teams, focusing on projects like ecodesign of technology upscaling and digital-electronics resilient usage. As a dedicated educator at IUT's Mechanical and Manufacturing Technological School of Grenoble, she teaches courses in Mechanical Engineering, Eco-design, and Project Management while coordinating international relations for undergraduate students. Her notable achievements include co-creating the Technical Comity Sustainability in 2023, leading the PlayRoom Project on Life Cycle Assessments, and coordinating scientific initiatives in various interdisciplinary projects including Power@Alps, Glyco@Alps, and the European EECONE project. Her expertise spans from mechanical design engineering to sustainable development, building upon her experience as a research fellow at RMIT University's Centre for Design and Society in Australia, where she developed resource efficiency tools and conducted life cycle engineering research.
