Matthew Wright

Matthew Wright serves as a clinical and laboratory Haematologist at Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth and holds a position as senior clinical lecturer at the University of Western Australia. His expertise spans clinical practice and laboratory medicine, with particular focus on myeloid neoplasms and allotransplant. For over a decade, he has collaborated with Prof Wendy Erber to develop and run laboratory short courses for haematology trainees. His passion for education extends internationally, having refined his teaching methods through outreach programs in Indonesia and across the Asia-Pacific region. As a national examiner for both RCPA and RACP, he has demonstrated his commitment to medical education. His innovative approach to teaching complex laboratory skills has led to the development of structured online courses, making specialized haematology training more accessible to medical professionals worldwide.
