Matthew A. Koschmann

Dr. Matthew A. Koschmann is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Colorado Boulder, specializing in organizational communication. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin and focuses his research on the communication processes involved in inter-organizational collaboration aimed at social change and community development. His published work addresses critical issues such as affordable housing, prisoner reentry, human trafficking, and disaster recovery. Recently, Dr. Koschmann was honored with a Fulbright Scholars Award to study civil society collaboration in the Philippines, reflecting his commitment to impactful research. In the classroom, he teaches courses on group communication, leadership communication, organizational collaboration, and persuasion, earning recognition for his innovative teaching methods that incorporate technology, online course development, animation videos, and multi-player simulations.
