Mats Lindroos is an Adjunct Professor in Particle Physics and the Head of the Accelerator Division at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden. He holds a PhD from Chalmers University of Technology and has extensive experience in accelerator technology, having worked at CERN from 1993 to 2009, where he was involved in technical coordination and project management. Since joining Lund University in 2014, Lindroos has contributed to the field of accelerator physics through teaching and research, particularly focusing on particle accelerators. He also teaches the course "Introduction to Particle Accelerators" on Coursera.
