The University of EdinburghMathieu Lucquiaud is a distinguished Professor of Clean Energy with Carbon Capture and Storage at the University of Sheffield, and a visiting Professor at the University of Edinburgh. Since 2005, he has contributed extensively to the field of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), working at renowned institutions like Imperial College London and the University of Edinburgh, where he launched a related course in 2018. His research centers on advancing both established and innovative technologies for capturing carbon dioxide in sectors such as electricity, hydrogen, and heavy manufacturing, as well as leveraging CCS to remove excess atmospheric CO₂.
